UK Letter Home February 2004

Welcome to the February Edition of UKBound.

Seth is still getting bigger. It's amazing how much he's grown, and how much more alert he is. From a wee wayne just lying there on the floor, to an active (almost hyper) bundle of energy. We had some professional photo's taken, but we haven't received them yet. When (or if) we receive them, we'll scan them, and put them onto the web.

On the job(s) front, Kim now has a weekend job working at Dolphin (the bathroom installers) scheduling appointments and weekend office admin. So far she is enjoying the job. There's a BK, McD's, Asda and a couple of other shops around where she works, so it allows her to go for a wonder at lunch.
I, of course still love my job just as much as I did last letter. We are doing yet another reorganization and in the last 2 weeks I have just had as many new bosses. I have had over a dozen direct bosses in less than 4 years. Doesn't say much for stability in the workplace. I think my new team will be better, as we can have a clean break from the old procedures, and maybe actually allow to fix some of the many bugs, er, features. From what I now know about banks, I'd say that our grandparents were right -- keep your money in a hole in the back yard.

The website is coming along... We've been extremely busy, so I'm hoping that by our next trip, our last one will be posted. For our next trip, we are off to a place where a man (singular) in a green suit lived. We'll let you guess at that one.

The car is still running fine. We have a short (somewhere) and the mechanics are useless at finding it. Before we took it to Cornwall (pics coming soon to a webiste near you) we took it in to be serviced. Just the normal oil change, put on a couple of new wheels, and had the boot lock fixed. Just normal maintenance stuff. Ever since then, if we leave the car for a couple days, the battery is dead and we cannie start the car. The mechanics say it's intermittent - ya, like every time we try and start it after 2 days.

I guess that's about it for this issue.

Brian, Kim, wee Seth and the moggies.
